New Uniforms for our 1st Teams
Toowoomba Grammar School is excited to launch our fresh, new uniforms for the 1st squads as the first GPS School to partner with internationally recognised sporting company, New Balance.
This is the first stage in an extensive re-design and standardisation of all the School’s sports and activities uniforms which will be gradually rolled out over the next two years. These bold new 1sts uniforms have been designed specifically to honour the tradition of the Blue and Gold colours that are so symbolic for our School, with a synergy in the gold striping and our blazers. This change also presents a unified brand across all our sport and activities codes.
“We are proud to be the first GPS school to be associated with this leading brand, New Balance,” said TGS Director of Sport and Activities, Mr Steve Fryer
“This partnership will bring many benefits to our School community and we look forward to seeing the reinvigorated Blue and Gold on the courts and fields this year.”
The TGS x New Balance partnership supplied via School Locker follows a ten-month process of tenders and designs with multiple companies, before signing with the leading sporting and technology company. School Locker was selected as a supplier because they were the best fit for TGS and there will be numerous benefits for students and their families.
New Balance produces top quality clothing which should result in a longer lifespan of the apparel during our boys’ rigorous training sessions and matches. These streamlined and cohesive uniforms will also reduce the amount of clothing that needs to be purchased resulting in significant financial savings for families and a reduction in uniform items as boys change from one code to another.
“It’s great to see unity in our brand while helping families save money on uniforms,” said TGS Director of Advancement, Mrs Tammy Wilson.
School Locker General Manager, Tim Muller said the range is the product of considered design, from the garment construction to the blue and gold colours, to the self-coloured New Balance branding that ensures the leading brand that shines is TGS.
“We are excited to bring New Balance apparel to TGS and to be part of the success the boys will have on the sporting field,” said Mr Muller.
“Thank you to everyone at TGS for their contributions throughout the design process, we look forward to a long and successful partnership – TGS x New Balance – we got now!”
