Toowoomba Grammar School swimming club is celebrating after a very successful National Age Championship representation in Adelaide from April 12-19.
Three swimmers brought home five medals between them, ranking them among the best in the country in their respective age divisions.
Mackenzie Grimes won silver in the 13 years girls 50m backstroke and silver in the 13 years girls 100m backstroke. She was also selected to represent Queensland in the 4 x 50m mixed medley relay.
Sienna Deurloo won a bronze medal in the 16 years girls 800m Freestyle and silver in the 16 years girls 1500m freestyle.
Ryan Thornton won bronze in the 16 years boys 50m backstroke.
We also want to recognise the superb efforts of Year 11 student, Lachlan McNamee who competed in his first multi-class National Championships and reached the B Finals in the Open 50m Freestyle, placed fourth in the 17-18 years 100m freestyle, sixth in the 17-18 years 50m butterfly and freestyle and eleventh in the 17-18 years 50m backstroke.
