For the 21st consecutive year, the Darling Downs will be represented by a strong contingent of players, all from Toowoomba Grammar School, at the State Tennis Championships next week.

The TGS team won the regional finals of the Queensland State Secondary Schools Tennis competition in May. It is the 21st consecutive year that TGS has won the Open division and moved on to the State Championships.

This year’s team consists of Tom Dwyer (captain), Archer Black, Henry Maunder and Hugh Mansfield. They head to Rockhampton on Sunday, 18 June to compete against the best in Queensland.

Our Years 7-9 team has also continued the success of the TGS Tennis program. This younger division competition commenced three years ago and TGS has won every year.

The 2023 team of Charlie Rafter, Angus Kues-sales, Tom Dewar and James Statton will represent the Darling Downs at the State Championships in Brisbane, commencing June 18.
