Access the Parent Lounge
The Parent Lounge can be accessed via the Parent Lounge link under the Quick Links tab on the School's website or via the link on the TGS App.
The Parent Lounge is a secure site that provides centralised information and forms including academic results, academic reports and comments. You are also encouraged to log any student absentees on the Parent Lounge. It also includes medical details, your fee account and the ability to book teacher interviews, manage tours and excursions and so on.
How to access Parent Lounge
On Monday, 6 January 2025 you will receive a welcome email (you may need to check your junk email folder), inviting you to set up your Parent Lounge access. You will also receive a separate email from the School on this day with your parent code. You will need that parent code to access the Parent Lounge.
Follow these instructions to log in to Parent Lounge for the first time.
Senior School House Allocation
Your son will be allocated to one of our five Houses, and he will remain in that House for the duration of his schooling at Toowoomba Grammar School. The House system provides for the key pastoral care and support (along with his class teacher), House service and House sport and activity programs.
You
will have received your son's House allocation in an email from the School on
Wednesday, 9 October 2024.
Boarding families will be contacted by their Boarding Head of House prior to the beginning of school to arrange a meeting.

School Supplied Laptop
All boys in the Junior School (Year 3 and up) and Senior School will be provided a laptop to support the School’s curriculum. Boys in Prep to Year 2 will have access to a classroom set of devices. The cost of this laptop is incorporated into the General Purpose Levy.
In the Junior School, the laptops will be provided to the boys in class during the first week of term. Boys in Prep to Year 4 are not required to take their laptops home. Boys in Years 5 and 6 typically are required to take their laptops home Monday through Thursday as part of their homework routine.
In the Senior School, laptops will be available from Monday, 20 January 2025 and details are listed below. A ‘how to’ guide and FAQs will be provided on how to set up the laptop. Students should attempt to set up their laptop using the instructions provided. IT staff will be available from 8:00am on Monday, 20 January 2025 to assist any students experiencing set up difficulties. Students will also receive a general technology induction during their orientation sessions.
By accepting a TGS laptop you and your son agree to abide by the TGS Laptop User Agreement which can be found in the School Policies and Handbooks section of the Parent Lounge. All parents and students should read this agreement.
- TGS Top Tip - boys should come prepared with a password they would like to use. The password must be a minimum of 8 characters long, have at least 1 upper case character, at least 1 lower case character, and at least one number and/or special character.
Senior School Laptop Collection Options
Dayboys
Walk into IT laptop collection – Monday, 20 January to Friday, 24 January 2025
Families can collect their son's laptop from our IT department between 9:00am and 4:00pm on the dates noted above. The IT Department is marked number 25 on this School map.
Boarders
- Corfe laptops will be delivered to Corfe House for Corfe staff to distribute on Monday, 27 January 2025.
- For new boarders in Years 8 to 12, laptops will be available from their Boarding Head of House during their Head of House meetings.
TGS Year 6 2024 students who are transitioning into Year 7 2025
Boys who were at TGS in Year 6 2024 and will be transitioning to Year 7 in 2025 will be required to collect their laptops from the IT department or their Boarding Head of House as per the instructions above.
