The Terraces and adjacent areas overlooking Old Boys’ Memorial Oval are synonymous with Toowoomba Grammar School.
For decades, this space has been filled with Grammar boys in their blue and gold, cheering on their mates and for families and Old Boys to spend time and share experiences.
As part of the School’s new Masterplan capital developments and in honour of the School’s 150th anniversary in 2025, and after consultation with the Toowoomba Grammar School Old Boys’ Association, the School is launching a new capital campaign to add a unique feature to the Terraces – the TGS ‘Old Boys’ Deck’.
This exciting project will be located in front of the W.M. Dent Library just off the Promenade. The Old Boys’ Deck will provide an event space, shade, seating and additional terraces for the School and Old Boys. This space will become a central hub for Old Boys to gather and reconnect, and for current students, as well as families, to come together.
Opportunity for community involvement
The Toowoomba Grammar School Old Boys’ Association has made a generous donation toward the construction of the deck and the School has also made significant contributions through the design phase of the project.
The opportunity now exists for the Toowoomba Grammar School community to also contribute to this exciting project. Whilst we hope to bring the deck to fruition in 2025, the School’s 150th anniversary, leaving a lasting legacy for generations of future Grammarians, the project will not commence until all funds are fully committed.
